March 6, 2019 CDD Meeting Highlights

The major topic for this meeting was ADA compliance for the WLP website. Our insurance provider informed the CDD that they will not be able to cover us after September 30, 2019 if we are not compliant.
John Vercker, WLP’s District Counsel, updated the Board on ADA website compliant requirements.
Have a plan to become compliant
Allocate funds in our budget to continue compliance
Make known on our current website that WLP is actively working on compliance
Hire a firm to manage the site
Scott Diver was appointed as ADA website technical liaison. Scott will be working with Rizzetta to provide insights to the Board on this rapidly changing requirement.
Kaitlyn Gallant, Manager of District Accounting Services for Rizzetta, gave a presentation to the board on our current budget.
The Board approved the changing out of two fresh air HVAC systems for the Fitness Center. After discussion by the Board, and feedback from our District Engineer, the contract was awarded to Ryman Mechanical.
The second mobile radar sign came in and is currently in operation on Night Heron Drive.
An Event Coordinator has been selected and is going through the final hiring stages with Rizzetta Amenity Services, Inc. We anticipate a start date by the end of March.
As in the past, the Board approved Bradstreet Sports to provide youth summer programs. Registration dates and program information are forthcoming.
A Speed and Safety Awareness event is continuing to be discussed with Pasco Sheriff’s office, WLP CDD, and the HOA. We are working on a date that will give us the most participation. As soon as the date is finalized, an announcement will be posted.
The CDD Budget Workshop is scheduled at 9:30am on Wednesday, April 10th.
